This Privacy Policy explains what information KickXI ("the App", "we", "us") collects, why we collect it, how it is used, how long it is kept, and the choices and rights available to you. It also covers chronosscore.com, our companion website — see Section 8 for what's different there. It is written to match exactly what the App, website, and our backend actually do — not a generic template.
If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@kickxi.com.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account information
KickXI supports two ways to create an account:
- Sign in with Apple. We receive and store Apple's stable, anonymized user identifier for your Apple ID, and — only if Apple includes it in your identity token — the email address associated with your Apple ID (including a private relay address if you chose to hide your email). We never receive or store your name, phone number, or any other Apple ID profile information.
- Continue as Guest. We generate a random identifier on your device and store it in your device's Keychain. This identifier lets the same device return to the same guest account; we do not collect an email, name, or any other personal detail for guest accounts.
For every account we also store which sign-in method you used and the date your account was created.
1.2 Session information
When you sign in, we issue a session token stored securely on your device. This token contains your internal account ID, the sign-in method used, and the session's issue and expiry times. It does not contain your IP address, device model, or any other device-identifying information.
1.3 Subscription information
To manage the optional Pro subscription, we store: your subscription plan and status, your subscription's renewal date, and records of purchase transactions (Apple transaction IDs, product ID, and purchase date).
1.4 Saved matches
If you save a match for later, we store the match's identifier, the date you saved it, and any notes you personally choose to type. We do not add anything to this beyond what you save.
1.5 Information we do not collect
KickXI does not collect: your name, physical address, phone number, precise or approximate location/GPS data, contacts, photos, health data, or browsing history. The App contains no advertising SDK, no analytics or telemetry SDK, and no crash-reporting SDK — nothing in the App reports your usage to any third-party measurement or advertising service. Push notifications are not implemented in the current version of the App.
1.6 IP address (security use only)
When you make a request to our servers, your IP address is used momentarily, in memory, to detect and limit abusive request patterns (for example, to stop automated abuse of the sign-in or match-analysis features). This is never written to our database or to any log — it exists only for the instant needed to apply the rate limit, then it is discarded.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to: create and authenticate your account; let you sign in consistently across app launches; manage and verify your Pro subscription with Apple; let you save and revisit matches; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; and meet our own legal, accounting, and security recordkeeping obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising, do not build an advertising profile of you, and do not sell your information to anyone.
3. Match and Football Data
Fixtures, teams, competitions, and match statistics shown in the App come from a third-party sports-data provider, football-data.org. Requests to this provider are made using only match, team, and competition identifiers — your account information, email, or any other personal data is never sent to football-data.org.
chronosscore.com (see Section 8) is a separate product from the App and sources its own live scores, statistics, lineups, and standings from a different third-party sports-data provider, API-Football. As with football-data.org, requests to API-Football use only match, team, league, and competition identifiers — no personal data is ever sent to API-Football.
4. Third Parties We Work With
- Apple — for Sign in with Apple authentication and for processing Pro subscription purchases through the App Store. Apple's own privacy policy governs how Apple itself handles your Apple ID and payment information.
- football-data.org — supplies the football data shown in the App, as described in Section 3. Receives no personal data.
- API-Football — supplies the football data shown on chronosscore.com, as described in Section 3. Receives no personal data.
We do not share your account information with any advertising network, data broker, or analytics company, because the App does not use any such service.
5. Data Retention and Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the App. This is irreversible and, once confirmed, immediately:
- deletes your saved matches and subscription record;
- ends every active session/sign-in tied to your account; and
- deletes your account record itself.
Absent a deletion request, we keep your account data for as long as your account remains active.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data (available directly in-app, see Section 5); object to or restrict certain processing; and receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights beyond in-app deletion, contact us at the email in Section 9 — we will respond within a reasonable time and in any event within the timeframe required by applicable law.
7. Children's Privacy
KickXI is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Cookies and This Website (chronosscore.com)
This section applies specifically to chronosscore.com — our live scores, fixtures and standings website — which is separate from the App and uses browser storage the App does not. See Section 3 for where chronosscore.com's own match, score, and standings data comes from.
8.1 What we store in your browser
- Cookie consent choice. Whether you accepted or declined cookies, stored via
localStorageso we don't ask again on every visit. - Favorites. Matches you star are saved via
localStorageon your device so they reappear in "My Favorites" on your next visit. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.
8.2 Analytics
If we enable site analytics, we intend to use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless, does not use any client-side state, and does not track individuals across sites — it only reports aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, approximate location by country). We will update this section if that changes.
8.3 Advertising
The website may show ads served by a third-party ad network (for example Google AdSense), once we've been approved for one. Ad networks may use cookies or similar technology to serve and, depending on your consent choice and location, personalize ads. We do not control what an ad network does with that data on its own systems — see that network's privacy policy for details. Where required by law (for example under GDPR), we honor your consent choice from our cookie banner for ad personalization.
8.4 Your choice
A cookie banner on chronosscore.com lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can also clear your consent choice, favorites, or any other site data at any time via your browser's site settings — this does not affect your App account, which is entirely separate.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, provide notice through the App or, for website-specific changes, on chronosscore.com. Continued use of the App or website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
